Capture Field (捕縛フィールド) is a type of energy field that serves as battlefields for the majority of battles in the Shinkalion series.

Description[]

The Capture Fields are large energy spheres that serve to contain Giant Monstrous Beings in a twofold purpose; the first is to allow the Shinkalions to battle without causing too much collateral damage. The second purpose is to hide the Giant Monstrous Beings and the Shinkalions from the general public, with both being top confidential secrets known only to the SUEI.

The Capture Fields are fired from a satellite once a Giant Monstrous Being's location is confirmed, and have an optical cloaking function to keep the battle hidden from any bystanders. However, the camouflage only fools human eyes, as Kitoralsus and Teoti members are able to see through them due to their differing biology.

The inside of the Capture Fields are circular and spacious, giving the Shinkalions a large amount of space for attacking the enemy. Additionally, there are many upper terraces for flightless units to gain the high ground, as well as elevated tracks revolving along the inner walls that allow the Shinkalions, Zailiners and the Ultra Evolution Electric Freight Train to enter the field. The SUEI can alter certain conditions such as temperature and air pressure inside the fields. However, some of the Giant Monstrous Beings may also alter the terrain and climate inside to gain the advantage in battle. Generally, the interior of the Capture Fields have a light blue glow, with damaged panels glowing a bright red color.

Although the Capture Fields are one of the SUEI's most vital assets, they still have several downsides, being especially weak when deployed on water or when being low in power. Second, they have a time limit, and deploying multiple fields simultaneously would require a lowered energy output on each field to allow usage, further shortening the time limit. Third, despite their resilience, the wall of the fields may be damaged or even destroyed by the enemy via either physical attacks or overpowering it. Additionally, a number of Giant Monstrous Beings such as Sky High Giga Booster have been able to evade the field's deployment entirely simply by outrunning the beam.
