Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion is a web series of Shinkalion. It was created to promote the 2015 Shinkalion toyline.
Story[]
In the year 2015, the peace of the city is attacked by unknown enemies. In order to confront the threat, based on the Shinkansen, filled with the dreams and the technology of Japan, that being secretly developed is — Shinkansen Transformable Robot, Shinkalion!
Development[]
The shorts are animated by Shogakukan Music & Digital Entertainment, a company that would later provide the CG animation for the anime series.

Trivia[]
- In the 700/N700 Series episode and the E5x500 episode, the enemies didn’t show up.
- The H5 Hayabusa, E3 Tsubasa Flare Wing, E3 Tsubasa Iron Wing and 500 TYPE EVA are the only Shinkalions introduced in the toyline that did not receive their own episodes.
- In 2019, special promotional videos of Black Shinkalion Ogre, Shinkalion 923 Doctor Yellow and Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa MkII, three new Shinkalion units introduced in the anime, were made in the style of the web series episodes in order to promote the movie. In 2020, another two new promotional videos in the same style were made for Shinkalion Hello Kitty and Shinkalion N700S Nozomi, two brand new Shinkalions that did not appear in neither the original series nor the anime. After the second season of the anime ended, yet another promotional video was made for Dark Shinkalion Absolute on June 10, 2022. Later in August 31 of the same year, another similar video is released for Shinkalion Z N700S Kamome and its Zailiner, the 883 Sonic Nichirin.
