Yamakasa Nakasu (中洲 ヤマカサ) is an ally in Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z. He first appears in Episode 08. He is voiced by Miyuri Shimabukuro.

A young child prodigy set to be the heir of his family's okyuto business, Yamakasa is busy and studious, often focusing mainly on the task at hand. He also favors efficient and effective measures and strategies, and as such completely dismisses anything he notes as unscientific, a leading factor that strained his and Shin's relationship upon first meeting. Despite this, he has a soft side and is quite respectful when it boils down to the end of it, often exercising no matter the weather to remain ready and prepared for work, while he is willing to see past Shin's occult obsession to further strengthen the team. Yamakasa is also a skilled falconer, and incorporates the natural hunting instincts of his partner Albert into his combat style in the Z 800.
While Yamakasa is generally far more reserved than his predecessor, Rei Ozora, he was quick to become starstruck upon meeting the original driver and builder of the 800, struggling to maintain his composure until well into the mission. Rei was more than willing to respond in kind, and took Yamakasa in as a protégé after the battle against Arabaki.

Etymology[]
- The name Yamakasa refers to a type of floats used in traditional festivals in northern Kyushu, and is also the name of a discontinued highway bus service operated by Nishitetsu, a private railway company.
- Yamakasa's surname Nakasu is likely based on the Nakasu-Kawabata Station, a station of the Fukuoka City Subway.
