Shinji Ikari (碇シンジ) is a recurring character in Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion THE ANIMATION. He first appears in Episode 31 of Season 1 and Episode 21 of Season 2. He is voiced by Megumi Ogata.

Background[]
- The character originates from a character of the same name in the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise.
- The design of Shinji's Shinkalion driver suit is based on his Evangelion counterpart's plug suit, albeit much more simplified and lacking several details, including the "01" numberings on the chest and back, the enlarged wrist cuffs, and the black stripes on the abdomen. It also lacks the interface headsets attached on the head, and instead wears the same headphones and shoulder pads as other standard Shinkalion driver suits.
