Shinkalion 923 Doctor Yellow (シンカリオン 923ドクターイエロー) is the fourth Shinkalion of the Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute Kyoto Branch, mainly piloted by director Hokuto Hayasugi.

History[]
The 923 Doctor Yellow is a special Shinkalion secretly developed by the SUEI Kyoto Branch specifically with Over Cross Combining with the E5 MkII in mind. Like the preceding 500 Kodama, the 923 Doctor Yellow is built specifically for an adult driver to operate, but unlike the 500 is capable of being utilized to the fullest by both adult and underage drivers, as seen when it was piloted by Ryūji Kiyosu during the battle against Valdor with the same proficiency as when Hokuto was using it.
The 923 Doctor Yellow was permanently retired following the Valhallan invasion after Hokuto moved to England with his family, and its fate currently remains unknown.
Weaponry and Equipment[]
The 923 Doctor Yellow has access to the Inspective Weapon, which can transform into either the Trolley Blade for close combat or the Rail Gun for ranged attacks. Additionally, the Scan Eye on its forehead, which contains various sensors, allows it to analyze the situation in the battlefield quickly. It also has a Gran Cross cannon built in behind the nose, although it is used only in the Over Cross Combined form as part of the Triple Gran Cross.

Shinkansen Mode[]
The exterior design of the 923 Doctor Yellow is based on the Shinkansen class 923 test train. Its livery is mainly yellow with grey chassis, and has two blue stripes throughout the side.
Shinkalion mode[]
The 923 Doctor Yellow, when transformed, becomes a humanoid mech, which keeps the front nose of its Shinkansen Mode as its chest. In contrast to the gigantic 5-car model of the first Shinkalion Doctor Yellow, the 923 is built with the standard 2-car formation. The 923 is mainly yellow in color with blue and silver details, and distinctively, is furnished with a fully golden inner frame.
Trivia[]
- The 923 Doctor Yellow is the final Shinkalion debuting within the runtime of Season 1.
- It is the second Shinkalion specially built for adult drivers, the first one being Shinkalion 500 Kodama.
- Despite the fact that this unit is developed by Kyoto Branch makes it logically more fitting to be based on the Class 923 Set T5 owned by JR West, it is still stated to be based on the Set T4 owned by JR Central, the same as the original Shinkalion Doctor Yellow.
- The 923 Doctor Yellow is one of only five Shinkalions in the franchise to have a unique transformation theme outside of the standard jingle, with the rest being the Black Shinkalion, E5 MkII, Black Shinkalion Ogre and ALFA-X.
