The Shinkalion (シンカリオン) is a type of mecha in the Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion series.
Prototype Shinkalions
The prototype shinkalions are experimental built for testing and training. Their shinkalion mode are never shown in the anime.
Standard Shinkalions
A standard shinkalion is formed by two cars, basically the front car and the rear car. They can form “Link Combinations” with each other.

Each one is only formed by one car, which makes them much smaller than the other shinkalions. The three units can combine into one mecha called “Shinkalion Trinity”.
MkII Shinkalions
A MkII Shinkalion is formed by three cars. The front car forms its torso, the middle car forms the arms, while the rear one forms the legs. They can form “Over Cross Combinations” with the standard shinkalions.
